Dr. Hisham Ashry graduated from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. He completed his residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, where he stayed on as a clinical professor in the Department of Orthopedics. He taught podiatric surgery residents and was involved with extensive foot and ankle related research. Dr. Ashry has published over 30 articles in medical literature and has lectured all over the United States and internationally. In 2000, he was named as “Young Practitioner of the Year” by the Texas Podiatric Medical Association. Recently, in 2021 he was listed as one of “America’s Top Podiatrists”.
Dr. Ashry is currently affiliated with several hospitals that are among the Top 100 hospitals in the United States. There he serves on the Foot and Ankle Residency Training and Professional Education Committees. He also practices at two major Wound and Limb Salvage centers (JFK Medical Center and St. Mary’s Medical Center). Dr. Ashry is a highly skilled foot and ankle surgeon, treating all ailments of the foot and ankle, conservatively and surgically. He is on trauma emergency call for foot and ankle injuries at 5 different hospitals in Palm Beach County. He is a member of the American Board of Wound Management and Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He is a Past President of the Palm Beach County Podiatric Medical Association..
